Job description

Role Overview

The Joint Operations Logistics Department (JOLD) manages the Integrated Logistic Hub, overseeing the management and distribution of operational supplies to various Operations Departments/Divisions. It also coordinates operational support across different Pillars, Groups, and Divisions during incidents, crises, or National Emergency plans to ensure mission success. JOLD comprises two main branches: the Integrated Logistics Branch and the Emergency Logistic Planning Branch.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and strategy development to ensure NEA's preparedness for its designated roles in both peacetime and National Emergency contexts.
  • Assist in the creation, evaluation, and enforcement of the department's emergency plans and associated work procedures.
  • Participate in the planning, organizing, and coordination of internal drills to test and validate emergency plans.
  • Maintain and update relevant information and data essential for emergency operational planning as needed.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Possess 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in Emergency Planning, Logistics, Administration, or similar fields requiring strong planning and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with business continuity plans is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Passion for planning and applying analytical thinking to tasks.
  • Capability to conceptualize ideas, organize and categorize information, and effectively translate them into written form.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in all assignments.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Mature, independent, and resourceful work ethic.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness and ability to work during weekends and beyond regular working hours when required.
