Executive, TMS/WMS

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Executive to support the transition and enhancement of our Transport Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) in the West Region of Singapore. This role involves assisting with system migration, technical operations, and collaborating across teams to ensure smooth implementation of new supply chain software solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and technical validation of new microservices and SaaS packages, ensuring alignment with FairPrice’s unique operational logistics such as store delivery scheduling and loading bay restrictions.
• Assist in extracting and cleansing data from legacy platforms for migration to cloud-based databases.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical manuals during the shift from internal development to vendor-led system management.
• Write SQL queries to generate operational reports, identify delivery discrepancies, and verify data consistency between TMS and other supply chain systems.
• Provide frontline technical trouble-shooting support to transport planners and operations teams to quickly resolve system glitches and data issues.
• Collaborate extensively with the TMS/WMS team to synchronize software updates with operational requirements on the ground.
• Communicate technical requirements effectively with external vendors and SaaS providers.
• Engage in all software development lifecycle phases: planning, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and set up automated testing frameworks to enable dependable software releases.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to conceive, design, and deliver new system features.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance in production environments.
• Continuously explore and adopt innovative technologies, tools, and industry best practices to improve systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 1 to 2 years’ experience related to logistics technology, transport planning systems, or supply chain analytics.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries to manipulate and extract complex data joins, essential for migrating legacy systems to cloud platforms.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, including SaaS and microservices architectures, is highly desirable.
• Experience with Transport Management Systems such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Oracle, or other customized platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• A proactive, hands-on mindset ready to contribute effectively amid organizational change and technology upgrades.
• Capability to operate efficiently within a fast-paced environment managing large data volumes.
• Experience with full stack application development and solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities paired with meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Background in route optimization, delivery logistics, or transport management solutions.
• Familiarity with database systems, message queuing, caching mechanisms, and analytical reporting tools.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog or Grafana.
• Solid grasp of system scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated test suites.
