We collaborate with numerous London and international clients across private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, management consulting, executive search firms, public relations, renewable energy, digital advertising, brand management, new media, and property sectors. Recently, we have expanded our focus on senior, leadership, and board-level hiring mandates, aiming to develop a specialized executive search and retained search division.

Role Overview

As an Executive Search Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of senior and executive-level recruitment. This role is personality-driven, requiring a blend of proactive business development, effective communication, meticulous attention to detail, and strong account management skills. You will handle end-to-end responsibilities from new business acquisition to candidate resourcing and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities targeting senior, leadership, and executive appointments aligned with VWA’s strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain client relationships focused on board-level and other senior appointments to help establish a dedicated executive search division.
• Manage contingency recruitment assignments including permanent, fixed-term contracts, and temporary-to-permanent roles.
• Source, interview, and evaluate candidates thoroughly to ensure high-quality placements.
• Build long-lasting, trust-based relationships with both clients and candidates through consistent engagement and professional integrity.
• Occasionally support operational and administrative duties within a lean team structure, though primary responsibility lies with the Candidate Manager and Project Coordinator.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in executive or retained search is highly preferred; strong business development skills are essential.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Reed, Microsoft Outlook, and Access CRM is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Possession of a minimum 2:1 university degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Exceptional networking abilities with a confident, approachable, and friendly demeanor.
• Clear and professional communicator, capable of working under deadlines and responding dynamically to unpredictable assignments.
• Unbiased and accurate candidate assessment capabilities.
• Committed to persistent and disciplined business development and CRM practices.
• Commercially minded with flexibility, diplomacy, and a proactive approach to work.

Additional Information

• Core working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with up to one hour for lunch; communication outside these hours is anticipated.
• Hybrid working arrangement allowing up to two days per week remote work, excluding Tuesdays and Thursdays, subject to a professional home office setup.
• The position includes a six-month probation period.
• Salary is competitive and depends on experience, with eligibility for commission and discretionary year-end bonuses.
• Private medical healthcare coverage is provided after six months of employment.
• A pension scheme with 5% company contributions begins after three months.
• Annual leave starts at 25 days, increasing by one day per year for the first three years of service.
• Annual performance reviews are conducted.
