Position Overview

The Executive Recruiting Director for EMEA leads the region's executive recruiting team, covering the UK, DACH, Italy, France, and the Middle East. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Executive Recruiting, this pivotal role steers recruitment strategies for senior leadership positions including Partner and Managing Director levels. Key responsibilities include building trustful executive relationships, mentoring the team, managing searches, and ensuring compliance with local employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and oversee the full candidate experience from initial contact through to onboarding.
  • Lead and develop a diverse EMEA recruiting team comprising recruiters, researchers, and coordinators to foster a motivating and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with global leadership to manage budgets, workflows, vendor partnerships, and execute special projects.
  • Drive end-to-end executive searches including research, outreach, interview process management, evaluation, and documentation.
  • Draft comprehensive business cases for final-stage candidates, facilitating alignment with CEOs and Boards.
  • Manage contracts and engagements with external search firms ensuring fairness, reputation, and budget adherence.
  • Ensure accurate, confidential, and compliant data capture within recruiting systems, particularly Greenhouse, maximizing its functionality.
  • Support a seamless executive onboarding journey by partnering with People, Office, and IT teams.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support the function’s success.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges calmly and effectively.
  • Leadership experience guiding distributed teams through competing priorities, combining hands-on involvement with coaching.
  • Deep knowledge of the consulting landscape, especially executive talent pools across Restructuring, Advisory, and Risk sectors.
  • Understanding of consulting business drivers such as utilization, client relationships, commercial aspects, and culture fit.
  • Strong team-building capabilities emphasizing creativity, constructive feedback, and motivation.
  • Excellent attention to detail in communication, reporting, and presentation materials.
  • Experience managing EMEA executive search functions within consulting or professional services, including candidate research, negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Executive search firm background is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce concise, clear communications suited for executive and board audiences.
  • Strong ownership mindset responsible for team performance and continuous improvement.
  • Client-focused with excellent influencing and collaboration skills applicable to complex matrix organizations.
  • Superior organizational and time management abilities capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in German, French, and/or Italian is advantageous.
  • Comfort with travel and hybrid work arrangements; physical ability to sustain computer work and flexibility to occasionally work beyond standard hours.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.

This role is located in London, Munich, Düsseldorf, or Berlin with no paid relocation support. It involves occasional travel.
