Role Overview
The Executive Operations Manager position is newly established at MidChains, designed for a driven professional aiming to progress into a Chief of Staff role within the institutional crypto industry. This opportunity is ideal for top-performing management consultants seeking a substantial management role with strategic influence and cross-departmental responsibilities in a growing company.
This multifaceted role collaborates across all major divisions including Operations, Trading, Compliance, Technology, Business Development, Finance, and Marketing. Serving as the CEO's strategic partner, the role includes overseeing key business functions such as executive support, human resources administration, and office management. Located in Abu Dhabi, the role acts as a launchpad into higher leadership positions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the CEO’s complex calendar, meetings, and communications for the CEO, Board, and Senior Management ensuring effective engagement.
- Drive strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives representing the CEO, gaining expertise across trading operations, custody services, business development, and compliance.
- Foster and maintain key relationships with UAE financial regulators, including VARA and the Central Bank of UAE, supporting compliance and regulatory communication.
- Lead HR functions encompassing strategic recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement beyond typical administrative support.
- Manage daily office operations including facilities, vendor partnerships, and regulatory adherence.
- Support critical business activities such as board meeting organization, investor relations assistance, and strategic planning impacting company results.
- Oversee major projects like new product introductions, market expansion efforts, and regulatory filings contributing directly to organizational growth.
- Serve as a strategic connector between the CEO and internal teams, institutional clients, and external partners, while also expanding personal professional networks.
- Handle executive travel logistics, event organization, and corporate hospitality with increasing responsibilities in business development.
- Initiate and promote process improvements and operational excellence across departments like trading operations, custody workflows, and client onboarding procedures.
- Lead change management and organizational transformation initiatives preparing for senior leadership roles.
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning sensitive regulatory documents and business communications, including VARA compliance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 4 to 6+ years of experience in management consultancy or equivalent roles, preferably in financial services, fintech, or institutional sectors, with strong ambitions toward operational leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in coordinating complex executive engagements, conducting senior-level meetings, and delivering high-quality support in dynamic settings.
- Familiarity with the UAE business context, local regulatory regimes, corporate culture, and operational demands.
- Background in financial services enterprises particularly those involved in institutional trading, brokerage, asset management, or regulated financial services with compliance exposure.
- Excellent communication and organizational prowess capable of tactfully interacting with C-suite executives, board directors, and regulatory bodies; skilled in drafting detailed memos and presentations.
- Awareness and training in corporate cybersecurity practices from previous professional experiences.
- Proven project management skills managing multi-departmental initiatives exceeding typical executive assistant scope.
- Strong operational acumen with the ability to strategically evaluate business processes and foster organizational growth.
- Ambitious mindset targeting career progression into Chief of Staff or senior roles across operations, business development, finance, or marketing.
- Exceptional discretion handling confidential business, regulatory, and personal information professionally.
