About the Role
Under the guidance of the Senior Business Development Manager based in Singapore, the candidate will collaborate closely with global client and market teams, brand, and communications departments. The role involves supporting the firm's growth by preparing materials and managing key business development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the creation and preparation of client Requests for Proposals (RFPs), presentations, proposals, and pitches.
- Draft and refine marketing collateral such as brochures, lawyer biographies, and client presentation documents to bolster the firm's business development efforts.
- Gather and monitor representative client experience, ensuring the firm's experience database is current and complete.
- Organize and maintain a library of materials related to pitches, proposals, and RFP responses.
- Perform research on existing and potential clients, along with industry trends, to inform strategic efforts.
- Prepare and submit content and applications for respected industry listings and publications including Chambers Asia Pacific, IFLR1000, and Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
- Compile and update a database documenting the firm’s credentials such as awards, rankings, and recognitions.
- Partner with practice leaders to assist and coordinate various business development activities, including client events and meetings.
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external events and webinars.
- Manage data within the firm’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Execute special projects as assigned by department management and lawyers.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or college.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- At least two years of experience in marketing or business development roles, although recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated outstanding organizational and project management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and databases such as Nexl.
- Experience with ranking submissions to entities like Chambers Asia Pacific and knowledge of league tables.
- Comfortable interacting and working alongside senior stakeholders or executives at the C-suite level.
