Sofitel Singapore City Centre is a luxury hotel featuring 223 elegantly designed rooms that blend Singapore’s rich cultural heritage with French sophistication. Located in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, the hotel is just a 20-minute drive from Changi Airport. Dining options include Racines, offering authentic French and local meals, and 1864, a venue for cocktails and afternoon tea. The property also provides nearly 20,000 square feet of event space across 10 versatile venues, including the 600 square meter Wallich Ballroom, ideal for meetings, events, weddings, and celebrations.
Role Overview
The Executive Housekeeper will oversee all housekeeping functions to guarantee exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards across guest rooms, public spaces, and service areas. This on-site, full-time position in Singapore involves leading and organizing housekeeping and laundry teams, conducting room inspections, and managing inventories of linen, amenities, and cleaning materials.
The role includes developing housekeeping protocols, coordinating preventive maintenance cleaning, collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure excellent guest experiences, training staff, managing vendor partnerships, responding to guest feedback, and ensuring adherence to brand standards and local health regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in managing housekeeping and laundry operations, including linen management and maintaining hygiene standards.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities to professionally interact with guests, team members, and external partners.
- Excellent organizational capabilities for scheduling, inventory control, inspections, and prioritizing daily tasks.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and developing housekeeping staff to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience in hotel housekeeping, ideally in a luxury or upscale property.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and health regulations alongside familiarity with housekeeping equipment and systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Singapore with flexibility for weekend and public holiday support.
- A relevant diploma or certification in Hospitality Management or related discipline is advantageous.
