About the Role

This opportunity seeks an experienced executive to lead the identification, assessment, development, and expansion of investment prospects within the biomedical and healthcare industries. The focus is on cultivating a robust biomedical portfolio by leveraging venture creation, strategic alliances, commercialization strategies, and investment oversight. The ideal candidate should blend domain expertise with a product ownership approach to evaluate opportunities, foster innovative biomedical solutions, and enhance value throughout the investment process.

Core Responsibilities

• Pinpoint, analyze, and nurture investment opportunities across biomedical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical devices, and life sciences.
• Perform market research, commercial due diligence, and in-depth investment evaluations.
• Lead investment screening processes, feasibility assessments, and construct business cases.
• Track portfolio outcomes and contribute to initiatives that increase value.
• Assist the creation, growth, and scaling of biomedical ventures and innovative healthcare enterprises.
• Champion commercialization activities for biomedical products, technologies, and solutions.
• Collaborate closely with founders, operational teams, researchers, and industry participants to expedite market penetration.
• Discover new income channels and avenues for business growth.
• Serve as the business lead for key biomedical projects and product lines.
• Steer product development and commercialization to ensure market-fit alignment.
• Assess emerging technologies and innovations for investment or partnership potential.
• Facilitate the successful transformation of concepts into viable commercial products and enterprises.
• Forge and sustain relationships with investors, healthcare providers, academic centers, research bodies, and industry collaborators.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Finance, or related fields.
• Master's degree such as an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• Extensive experience in areas such as investment management, venture development, business development, private equity, venture capital, healthcare investments, or biomedical commercialization.
• Comprehensive understanding of biomedical technologies, healthcare innovation, and market opportunities.
• Proven record in evaluating investments and managing stakeholder relations.
