Events Floor Manager

Overview

As an Events Floor Manager focused on Event Operations, you will serve as the key liaison between guests and the Events team to guarantee that all functions run smoothly and align precisely with clients' instructions. You'll oversee and coordinate the work of Event Operations Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Food & Beverage Attendants, while ensuring optimal use of resources and technical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret floor plans and Event Orders to guide and position team members and furniture based on function type and guest numbers.
• Lead and help with room setup per Event Orders, including arranging tables, chairs, tableware, buffets, coffee and water stations.
• Coordinate and assist in installation of air walls, dance floors, and stages as directed by Event Services and floor plans.
• Ensure all setups comply with strict time limits.
• Inspect setups and cleanliness before functions start to meet and surpass Event Order standards.
• Implement any setup changes requested by clients promptly.
• Train and coach team members across all job areas and complete Job Skills Checklists as skills are demonstrated.
• Ensure staffing levels suitably match function requirements, assigning personnel according to their abilities.
• Oversee that only top-quality products are served during events.
• Operate within assigned areas while following QA and HACCP standards to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Manage correct handling, storage, and quality control of incoming products.
• Focus on client satisfaction, securing approval for amendments from relevant contacts and keeping departments informed.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Possess 2 to 4 years of managerial experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
• Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken, suitable for business contexts.
• Comfortable using computer systems relevant to the role.
• Highly motivated and dedicated, with eagerness to learn and enhance skills to improve performance.
• Adaptable and responsive to changes, ready to perform various responsibilities as needed.
• Exhibit strong teamwork through cooperation and support toward shared goals.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership, people management, and training capabilities.
• Focused on guest service excellence, confidently upholding and exceeding service standards.
• Deep knowledge of food and beverage service, cost controls, and labor management.
• Strong interpersonal skills coupled with keen attention to detail.
• Valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Energetic personality with readiness for long working hours.
