Job Overview
As an Events Coordinator at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, you will act as the main on-site liaison for groups, ensuring all event arrangements meet expectations. This position involves closely reviewing banquet event orders to gather guest details and plan setups, timelines, and any special requests such as buffets and action stations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet with group coordinators or hosts before events to introduce yourself and confirm event arrangements.
- Analyze banquet event orders to identify guest information and specific event needs.
- Respond to and fulfill special banquet requests, ensuring compliance with the requirements.
- Follow company policies, including safety and security protocols, reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and safeguard confidential company information.
- Welcome guests warmly and anticipate their service needs, while expressing genuine appreciation upon departure.
- Use clear, professional communication, including proper phone etiquette.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to help achieve team objectives.
- Adhere to quality standards and expectations throughout event delivery.
- Perform visual inspections of tools and equipment to spot any defects or issues.
- Physically capable of standing, sitting, and walking for long periods, and able to move or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Navigate through confined spaces and uneven or slippery surfaces safely.
- Perform additional reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a related role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Does not require any specific licenses or certifications.
