ETP Operator

Job Overview

The ETP Operator will be responsible for the efficient operation and upkeep of the Effluent Treatment Plant, ensuring adherence to environmental standards and safety protocols.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the Effluent Treatment Plant according to designated procedures.
• Continuously monitor treatment parameters to ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board regulations.
• Conduct regular assessments of inlet and outlet water characteristics such as pH, TDS, BOD, COD, and TSS.
• Administer chemical dosing while optimizing consumption levels.
• Maintain comprehensive daily logs, shift records, and treatment documentation.
• Troubleshoot minor plant breakdowns and collaborate with maintenance personnel for significant repairs.
• Ensure the operational integrity of machinery including pumps, blowers, motors, filters, and piping systems.
• Adhere to prescribed safety standards and maintain cleanliness within the plant premises.
• Assist during statutory audits and inspections as required.

Candidate Profile

• Possess between two to five years of practical experience in managing ETP operations.
• Foundational understanding of biological, chemical, and physical wastewater treatment methods.
• Capability to work shift patterns and independently manage plant activities.
• Awareness of safety norms and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Preference given to candidates holding ITI or Diploma qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or IT fields.
