Role Overview

We are looking for a driven Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our growing Commercial Team. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, this role involves overseeing project cost management from initial estimates through to the final accounting, focusing on cost control, value optimization, and quality standards across projects. This opportunity comes at a pivotal time of company growth with exciting development prospects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial elements of significant building and engineering projects.
• Assist in cost control, procurement processes, and evaluate contractor performance.
• Prepare and manage detailed tender documentation packages.
• Generate precise cost estimates and perform detailed material quantity take-offs.
• Engage professionally with clients from initial contact to project completion and final accounts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator is mandatory.
• Practical and detailed experience with material take-offs is essential.
• Preferably holds a level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, though not required.
• Competent with relevant IT systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Highly self-driven with strong workload management skills.
• Team-oriented with proven collaborative capability.
• Willingness to work full-time, with occasional overtime or weekend shifts as necessary.
