Estimator - Interior Fit-out

Role Overview

A leading company specializing in interior fit out and technical services in Dubai seeks an Estimator to join their team. This position requires 2 to 3 years of experience preferably within the UAE, with responsibilities encompassing cost estimation for interior fit out projects including office and site activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and structural drawings to create detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for interior fit out tasks.
• Perform thorough rate analyses covering materials, labor, and subcontractor-related costs.
• Gather and verify updated market pricing for materials, finishes, and furniture components.
• Develop precise cost estimates, tender documents, and commercial proposals within project timelines.
• Solicit quotations from suppliers and vendors, including handling technical inquiries.
• Conduct site inspections to measure and confirm project scope as required.
• Support value engineering initiatives by recommending cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
• Assist with budget preparation, cost tracking, managing variation orders, and upkeep of historical project cost and rate databases.

Candidate Requirements

• 2-3 years experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor (QS) in Interior Fit Out or Construction sectors, with preference for UAE-based experience.
• Possession of a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
• Competent in quantity take-off methods, preparation of BOQs, and detailed rate analysis.
• Strong understanding of interior fit out materials, finishes, and execution procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and AutoCAD; familiarity with CostX or comparable estimating software is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to strict tender deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Current residence in Dubai and availability to join immediately or within 7 to 15 days is preferred.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with BOQ-based contracting, knowledge of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) regulations, and possession of a UAE driving license.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range of AED 3,000 to 4,500 per month.
