Role Overview

Our client, an expanding construction services company, is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team in Burnley, Victoria. This role involves close collaboration with estimating, project, and technical teams to produce precise and competitive tenders and quotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents thoroughly.
• Conducting quantity take-offs and accurate measurements.
• Estimating labour and material expenses.
• Supporting the preparation of quotations and tender submissions.
• Following up on tenders and quotations to gather necessary feedback.
• Preparing exclusions and clarifications for tender documents.
• Assisting with Requests for Information (RFIs) and collecting relevant pricing data.
• Collaborating effectively with estimating, project, and technical teams.
• Facilitating the smooth handover of successful tenders to project teams.
• Managing multiple tenders and priorities systematically and within deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or a strong eagerness to learn this skill.
• Confidence with numerical data and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and general computer applications.
• Highly organised with the capability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across various teams.
• Positive attitude, proactive nature, and keen to expand knowledge.
• Interest in building a long-term career in estimating.
• Possession of a valid manual driver’s licence.

Additional Information

A construction background or understanding of drawings and measurements will be advantageous. Candidates with strong numerical and analytical capabilities who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.
