Job Overview

As an Estimator at Canam, you will review technical documents including drawings and specifications to confirm all necessary information is present. Your role involves inputting data into estimation and design software and performing calculations using internal tools. You will collaborate closely with the team leader to address any special design considerations and contribute to maintaining a positive work environment through clear communication with colleagues and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Enter data meticulously into specialized estimation and design software.
• Conduct calculations via internal software systems.
• Coordinate with the team leader on design challenges and special cases.
• Foster teamwork and maintain an effective communication flow within the workplace.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) with relevant experience and training.
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze technical procedures, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in operating required computer software for estimation tasks.
• Two to five years of practical experience in a pertinent field.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Team-player attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel when necessary.
• Positive approach, eagerness to learn, and effective communication with leadership.
• Dependability, punctuality, maturity, and capacity to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
