About the Company
Our client is a leading Tier-1 electrical contractor offering comprehensive electrical and communications solutions throughout Australia. Their services encompass design and engineering, electrical construction, communications systems, maintenance, and critical infrastructure projects.
Role Overview
Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking a skilled Electrical & Construction Estimator to join their friendly team located in Belmont, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop precise cost estimates and quotations for electrical and construction projects, based on project plans, specifications, and client needs.
- Examine drawings, technical documents, and project scopes to identify necessary materials, labor, and equipment.
- Perform quantity take-offs and calculate requirements for materials, labor hours, and other related costs.
- Recognize potential project risks, exclusions, variations, and cost implications ahead of tender submission.
- Prepare comprehensive tender submissions, including detailed pricing schedules, scope clarifications, and supporting documents.
- Ensure all estimates adhere to applicable electrical, communications, safety, and industry standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Estimator role or relevant environment; candidates with Defence or Data Centre experience are especially valued.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and build relationships during tender meetings.
- Proficiency in tender software like Conest and AutoDesk Construction Cloud.
- Familiarity with Tier-1 and Tier-2 tender packages from companies such as Multiplex, Lendlease, CPB, ADCO, and Duratec.
