About the Role
Join a leading Tier-1 electrical contractor known for comprehensive electrical and communications services including design, engineering, construction, maintenance, and critical infrastructure delivery across Australia. Due to expansion, they are seeking an experienced Electrical & Construction Estimator to become part of their friendly team based in Belmont, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate precise cost estimates and quotations for electrical and construction projects aligned with client specifications and project plans.
- Analyze drawings, technical documentation, and project scopes to determine necessary materials, labor, and equipment.
- Perform quantity take-offs and compute material needs, labor hours, and all associated project expenses.
- Evaluate and highlight potential project risks, exclusions, variations, and their financial impact prior to tender submission.
- Prepare comprehensive tender packages, including pricing schedules, detailed scope descriptions, and supporting documents.
- Ensure that all estimates adhere to applicable standards in electrical, communications, safety, and industry best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar estimation role within electrical and construction sectors; backgrounds in Defence or Data Centre projects are highly valued.
- Capability to engage effectively with clients and foster strong relationships during tender meetings.
- Familiarity with tender software tools like Conest and AutoDesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience handling Tier-1 or Tier-2 tender packages from firms such as Multiplex, Lendlease, CPB, ADCO, or Duratec.
