About the Role

A respected Commercial builder with a strong footprint in the Geelong market is expanding its local team. This firm manages a variety of fitout, refurbishment, and new construction projects across multiple sectors, including projects up to $50 million in value. With a solid pipeline of upcoming works, they seek an Estimator to join their Geelong office and contribute to the growth of the Victorian operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and tender submissions for diverse Commercial construction projects.
• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents critically.
• Coordinate pricing activities involving subcontractors, trade breakdowns, and supplier communications.
• Carry out feasibility studies and cost planning for future projects.
• Support value engineering initiatives, identify cost-saving measures, and facilitate seamless handovers to project delivery teams.

Required Experience and Skills

• Prior experience as an Estimator within Commercial Construction.
• Familiarity with the Geelong or broader Victorian construction market is essential.
• Experience applying to commercial new building or fitout projects.
• Strong focus on detail and sound commercial judgment.
• Aptitude for managing multiple simultaneous tender submissions and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder relationship management.
• Relevant academic qualifications such as Construction Management or Quantity Surveying are highly valued.
