Role Overview
With expanding operations in Brisbane, McNab seeks an Estimator to assist in creating cost plans, tender submissions, and pricing strategies for repeat projects, early contractor involvement (ECI) engagements, and fixed-price tenders. The position is suited for someone who thrives on detailed estimating tasks, collaborates with project teams, and aims to provide precise and competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive cost plans, tender documentation, and price submissions.
- Support opportunities related to repeat work, ECI, and fixed-price tenders.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to aggregate necessary information for submissions.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project criteria in detail.
- Spot risks, identify gaps, and leverage commercial prospects during estimation.
- Prepare subcontractor bid packages and detailed bills of quantities.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing data.
- Keep market rate and pricing data current and accurate.
- Contribute analytics and bidding support across multi-residential, retail, and industrial sectors.
- Utilize estimating software, such as CostX, for precise pricing and quantifications.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated estimating experience in multi-residential, retail, and/or industrial developments.
- Strong commercial acumen paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experienced in preparing thorough cost plans, tenders, and pricing proposals.
- Effective communicator with adeptness in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Versatile, able to work across various industry sectors and trades.
- Educational background in Quantity Surveying or related discipline is advantageous.
- Proficient with CostX or similar estimation tools.
