Role Overview
The Estimation Graduate role offers the opportunity to integrate with the Estimating team to gain practical understanding of the commercial and technical activities involved in preparing tenders for significant M&E projects.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of estimates and tender submissions.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and associated tender documents.
- Assist with performing quantity take-offs and material computations.
- Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support tender pricing preparations.
- Keep estimating records and databases up to date.
- Participate in tender assessments and commercial comparisons.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments when necessary.
- Support general project and tender-related duties within the Estimating team.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical capability.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Proficient in interpreting technical documentation.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite.
- Good organizational skills.
- Commercial awareness coupled with eagerness to learn.
- Experience in construction or engineering fields is a plus.
