Role Overview

The Estimation Graduate will be a member of the Estimating team, gaining insight into the commercial and technical workflows necessary for preparing competitive tenders for significant M&E projects. Under the guidance of experienced estimators, engineers, and project personnel, this role involves working closely with project drawings, technical specifications, quantity assessments, supplier quotes, and tender documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of estimates and tender submissions.
• Examine project drawings, specifications, and tender documents critically.
• Assist in performing quantity take-offs and calculating material requirements.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Contribute to pricing preparation for tenders.
• Maintain detailed records and databases related to estimating activities.
• Participate in tender reviews and commercial comparisons.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments as necessary.
• Provide general assistance to the Estimating team in project and tender related tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field.
• Strong numerical aptitude and analytical capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Competence in interpreting complex technical information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness alongside a keen eagerness to learn and develop.
• Prior experience in construction or engineering sectors is a plus.
