Estimation Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in cost estimation and proposal preparation for construction projects involving piping, structural steel, and equipment erection.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cost estimations for piping systems, structural steel fabrication, erection, and equipment installation.
• Develop detailed technical and commercial proposals including material take-offs (MTOs), man-hour calculations, and bulk quantity assessments.
• Interpret engineering drawings such as P&IDs, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings to support accurate estimation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering with substantial relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of professional experience as an Estimation or Proposal Engineer within Oil & Gas construction environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, labor productivity, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and estimation tasks.
• Strong analytical thinking, coordination abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with the regional Oil & Gas market is desirable.
• Preference given to candidates who can join immediately.
