ESG Officer

About the Role

Pak Bio Energy is dedicated to converting agricultural and organic waste into environmentally friendly energy solutions in Pakistan. We are currently seeking a passionate and driven fresh graduate to contribute as an ESG Officer, supporting the enhancement of our environmental, social, and governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support ESG frameworks, compliance, and reporting activities.
• Implement environmental policies and standards.
• Assist with environmental management and promote sustainability efforts.
• Drive initiatives focused on gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion.
• Engage with communities to foster social inclusion and empower women’s participation.
• Develop and monitor workplace policies that enhance employee well-being.
• Maintain ESG-related documentation, monitor adherence, and ensure compliance.
• Contribute to climate change mitigation and environmental protection projects.
• Collect, analyze, and report relevant ESG data.
• Coordinate and maintain stakeholder relationships and engagement efforts.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a fresh graduate holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Sustainability, or related disciplines. Ideal candidates will have an academic interest or background in ESG principles, environmental sustainability, gender equality, and social inclusion.

The aspiring candidate should exhibit strong analytical and research skills, including quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, with an ability to interpret regulatory and policy frameworks. Excellent communication and reporting skills are essential for preparing ESG disclosures and engaging diverse stakeholders. The role demands solid stakeholder management capabilities, governance and compliance knowledge, including familiarity with ESG standards such as GRI or SASB.
