Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position as an Equity Options Trader, based in Dubai, involves continuous analysis of equity markets and options instruments during the trading day. The trader applies technical and quantitative techniques to spot opportunities and effectively manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades in equity options and monitor open positions.
- Adjust trading strategies in response to market fluctuations and liquidity changes.
- Engage in market-making activities by maintaining well-balanced order books.
- Optimize bid-ask spreads and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Collaborate with team members in the development of trading strategies.
- Review trading performance metrics consistently.
- Ensure compliance with internal risk limits and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Qualifications
- Proven expertise in equity trading and strong trading skills.
- Solid command of technical analysis and analytical reasoning.
- Knowledge of market-making principles and liquidity management techniques.
- Experience in risk management, including position sizing and portfolio oversight.
- Understanding of options pricing mechanisms, volatility measures, and Greeks.
- Excellent quantitative abilities and high attention to detail, especially under time constraints.
- Effective communication skills and the capability to collaborate in a trading floor environment.
- Previous experience in equity options trading or a closely related field; familiarity with Indian or regional markets is advantageous.
