Equipment Service Engineer - HDD Test Systems

Core Responsibilities

• Apply comprehensive understanding of mechatronic principles, focusing on mechanical systems such as bearings, gearboxes, actuators, and pneumatic technology (constituting 60% of the expertise requirement).
• Utilize knowledge of electrical fundamentals including AC/DC principles, power distribution, protection devices, and grounding methods (around 20%).
• Leverage understanding of electronics fundamentals dealing with sensors, transducers, and the interpretation of analog and digital signals (approximately 20%).
• Employ AI tools, preferably Microsoft solutions, or Excel for thorough data analysis.
• Demonstrate strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Exhibit excellent critical thinking capabilities and effective problem-solving skills.
• Communicate clearly and confidently in English, delivering compelling presentations as required.
• Collaborate within teams to meet collective goals while also thriving in autonomous tasks.
• Show readiness and flexibility to undertake international travel as part of job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or equivalent engineering disciplines such as Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is favored.
• At least three years of experience working with HDD test systems, service, maintenance, or precision automation fields is preferred.
