Role Overview
This full-time position based on-site in Northern Territory, Australia, involves managing daily equipment hire functions. The role includes coordinating rental activities, assisting customers with queries, maintaining accurate records and system data, collaborating closely with branch and operational teams to plan equipment deployment, oversee availability, and support safe and compliant delivery and returns. This position also helps maintain strong customer engagement, promotes safety compliance, and supports continuous improvement efforts. Occasional teamwork with other branches or departments is expected to fulfill project demands and service standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working within equipment hire, logistics, or operational roles, ideally servicing mining, construction, industrial, or infrastructure industries.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities to establish and maintain positive client relationships and address inquiries promptly.
- Strong organizational aptitude, time management, and meticulous attention to detail for managing multiple rentals, schedules, and accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, compliance, and fundamental SHEQ practices, alongside a dedication to safe working conditions and ongoing enhancements.
- Capability to perform effectively on-site in Northern Territory, collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient with computer applications such as MS Office; experience in rental or ERP systems is a plus.
- Vocational qualifications or relevant training in business, logistics, operations, or a related discipline are preferable.
- Prior exposure to B2B environments and knowledge of large-scale projects or government/defense sectors is advantageous.
