Environmental Technician II

About the Role

Clean Harbors in Burlington, ON is looking to hire full-time, entry-level laborers to join their safety-driven team. The primary focus of this role is to undertake industrial cleaning tasks at various facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, and manufacturing sites while maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safety practices, policies, and procedures and consistently acting safely.
• Support Operators in safely running equipment and units.
• Ensure the job site for units is secure, stable, and safe.
• Complete daily required documentation accurately.
• Rig equipment during set-up and tear-down phases.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of units after job completion.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal employees and external clients.

Qualifications

• Prior manual labor experience is necessary; backgrounds in industrial or construction work are highly advantageous.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15% of the year, for durations of 5-10 days on project assignments.
• Availability for on-call emergency response work as needed.
• Preparedness to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions for long durations.
