Environmental Services Technician I - Evening Shift

Position Overview

This role is vital in maintaining hospital safety by ensuring the facilities meet rigorous hospital cleanliness standards. As an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician I, you will contribute to preventing communicable diseases through thorough disinfection of both public and private areas within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect areas including office and administrative spaces, outpatient care centers, restrooms, clinical equipment, floors, and hallways.
• May assist with the stocking and delivery of linens.
• Adopt established cleaning techniques efficiently.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Uphold honesty and ethical standards.
• Communicate openly and foster professional relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Possess basic proficiency with phones, computers, email, texting, and other communication tools.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Remain composed under pressure and handle challenging interactions with patients, physicians, or others.
• Consistently observe safety protocols, including use of appropriate safety signage such as 'wet floor'.
• Understand and comply with safety and regulatory requirements applicable to assigned tasks.
• Report any safety hazards encountered promptly.
• Protect the confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.

Qualifications

• Preferably possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.

Other Information

Salary ranges from $16.25 to $25.11 per hour, commensurate with experience and equity relative to similar roles. The hospital retains the right to modify employee schedules as necessary.
