Role Overview

The Enterprise Risk Officer supports the evolution of the Second-Line of Defence Enterprise Risk Management program within the Enterprise Risk & Compliance team. This role entails leading and aligning essential risk initiatives such as managing the enterprise risk register, conducting risk assessments, overseeing risk processes, and coordinating the risk champion network. You will collaborate closely with teams including Compliance, Legal, Security, and Product. This position combines enterprise risk management expertise with project coordination to ensure a resilient, compliant framework suitable for a rapidly expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring organizational risks to confirm that mitigation measures are effective.
• Support and maintain enterprise-wide risk workflows and communicate insights and risk updates to leadership.
• Help develop and keep risk policies, controls, and procedures updated in alignment with industry best practices.
• Maintain the risk register by keeping risk entries accurate and performing regular reviews.
• Prepare comprehensive risk reports and dashboards for management and committee review.
• Foster a pervasive risk-aware culture within business units to enhance organizational risk understanding.
• Assist with compliance adherence regarding regulatory and internal governance standards.
• Support internal and external audit activities as necessary.

Who You Are

• A risk management professional with at least two years of experience in risk, compliance, audit, or related fields within regulated or structured environments, focusing on enterprise, operational, and regulatory risks.
• An expert in governance and control frameworks, adept at creating policies, procedures, and mitigation plans translating regulatory demands into practical implementation across teams.
• A proactive self-starter who is analytical, skilled at identifying emerging risks and capable of maintaining comprehensive risk documentation and registers.
• A confident communicator capable of engaging diverse stakeholders and simplifying complex risk concepts through reports and presentations aimed at senior leadership.
• A collaborative partner who builds strong cross-functional relationships and assists business units in embedding risk responsibilities.
• A solutions-driven individual who not only identifies risks but also actively proposes actionable and scalable mitigation strategies.
• Organized and accountable, adept at juggling priorities, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of risk management obligations.
• Committed to continuous improvement by enhancing risk processes, developing training, upgrading tools, and fostering a mature risk culture.
