Enterprise Data & AI Architect

Role Overview

We seek an accomplished Enterprise Data & AI Architect to spearhead the strategic design and deployment of enterprise-scale data, cloud, AI, machine learning, and analytics platforms in the UAE region.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and govern enterprise-level Data and AI architectural frameworks, including strategy, roadmap, and reference models.
• Design modern data platforms leveraging Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric technologies.
• Develop architectures for Data Lakes/Lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics solutions.
• Implement frameworks for Data Governance, Quality, Metadata management, Lineage tracking, and Master Data Management (MDM).
• Architect secure, scalable AI/ML and Generative AI solutions, encompassing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and integration of enterprise-scale large language models (LLMs).
• Define comprehensive data security, privacy, access control, and compliance policies within the architecture.
• Drive cloud data modernization and support extensive digital transformation projects.
• Collaborate closely with C-level executives including CIO, CTO, CDO, as well as business, security, and technical teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 18 years of IT experience, with a robust background in enterprise data and AI architecture.
• Expert proficiency with Azure Data Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Deep knowledge of Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT processes, MDM, and Data Governance methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning platforms, MLOps, generative AI, LLMs, and RAG frameworks.
• Strong expertise in data security and analytics platform architecture.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills at the enterprise level.
• Work experience within UAE/GCC regions is highly preferred or required.
• Background working with large enterprises or governmental/semi-governmental institutions is advantageous.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or AI-focused credentials are desirable.
