Role Overview

The Enterprise Architect is tasked with leading architectural design and documentation efforts at enterprise-wide levels. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture and based in Pune or Bengaluru, this individual ensures the SKF Enterprise Architecture framework aligns with organizational goals. They also manage risks, costs, and benefits related to architectural decisions while collaborating closely with Domain, Business Area, and Solution Architects on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain SKF’s Architecture Concept model and overarching framework.
• Create and update architecture artifacts including baseline and target architectures plus roadmaps.
• Design and document enterprise-level architecture solutions.
• Generate architecture views to aid strategic and portfolio decision-making.
• Evaluate and review architectures of strategic projects.
• Conduct architecture governance activities.
• Support various business areas, domain teams, and strategic initiatives.
• Interpret stakeholder requirements and translate them into architectural models aligning with principles and guidelines.
• Promote architectural maturity and capability planning across the organization.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of architectural deliverables.
• Contribute actively to the SKF architecture community development.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Experience in management or leadership roles in a global enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools to build actionable architectural solutions.
• Track record of technology-driven business transformations.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Proven collaboration ability across multiple functions and organizations.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
