Position Details
Based at the South Perth Corporate Office, this full-time, permanent role operates Monday through Friday with some flexibility and reports directly to the Head of Information Technology.

Role Overview
The Enterprise Architect will spearhead the design and implementation of IGO's IT operating model across its technology function. This involves establishing shared standards, architecture patterns, and integration protocols that guide various IT domains including data, infrastructure, security, and applications. A particular emphasis will be on infrastructure as code and driving the integration of agentic, AI-enabled systems that embody the company’s operational model.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the target IT architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and functions.
- Collaborate consistently with capability leaders to harmonize architecture, share best practices, and oversee a unified technology stack.
- Construct automation and orchestration layers that manage operational tasks, deploying infrastructure and governance as code.
- Design reference architectures and integration pathways supporting AI-driven and agentic operational models, including open-stack methods and self-hosted AI model deployment.
- Transform manual operational processes into automated, self-healing systems.
- Ensure the IT environment is highly scalable and agile to accommodate changing demands.
- Maintain a solid and well-governed technical foundation across all platforms.
- Serve as a technical advisor and mentor across IT teams to elevate overall capabilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience across all facets of the IT stack with the capacity to lead architectural concepts through to deployment.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code principles and tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, and GitOps, including version control and testing procedures.
- Strong understanding of AI-integrated and agentic operation models covering areas like agent orchestration, large language model integration, retrieval/context engineering, open-stack integration platforms, and data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Expertise in cloud architecture and platform services focusing on identity-first design patterns across Azure/Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Intune, and tenant/landing-zone structures.
- Experience with automation engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines, event-driven workflows, and system observability tools.
- In-depth knowledge of security and network architectures emphasizing zero-trust models, identity-centric design, privileged access management, secrets handling, and software-defined networking.
- Possession of a current National Police Clearance dated within the last two months.
