About the Role
The Enterprise Architect at QAFCO is responsible for defining and governing the comprehensive enterprise architecture that spans IT, Operational Technology (OT), Cybersecurity, Data, and Digital domains within the Oil & Gas sector. This role ensures technology initiatives align fully with corporate strategies, operational excellence, health and safety priorities, cybersecurity resilience, and digital transformation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain the enterprise architecture framework, including principles, standards, policies, and operating models.
- Define integrated architecture principles across IT, OT, cybersecurity, and digital workplace environments.
- Create long-term technology roadmaps aligned with business, cybersecurity, and digital office strategies.
- Translate business goals and capabilities into detailed architectural requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support transformation priorities and ensure enterprise-wide integration.
- Lead the design and implementation of target-state architectures across business, application, data, infrastructure, OT/ICS, cybersecurity, digital workplace, and integration domains.
- Ensure secure and scalable integration between enterprise IT and operational technologies with a focus on interoperability and reliability.
- Drive digital innovation including automation, robotic process automation (RPA), AI/ML, digital twins, and advanced analytics.
- Handle cloud adoption strategies and legacy system modernization efforts.
- Oversee architectural compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Information Security and Risk teams to support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training for solution architects, technical teams, and new personnel.
- Present architecture strategies and investment proposals to executive management, acting as a trusted technology advisor.
- Promote best practices in architecture design, cloud adoption, automation, DevOps, and modernization.
- Continuously assess and improve architectural maturity and frameworks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or closely related fields.
- At least seven years of relevant and direct professional experience in enterprise architecture or related disciplines.
Additional Information
This role encompasses leadership in integrating complex technology ecosystems within high-risk operational environments, focusing on safety, security, and resilience. It also involves training end-users on newly developed systems and contributing to capability development for new hires and trainees within the group.
