Role Summary and Responsibilities
The Enterprise Architect for Cloud, Infrastructure, and Healthcare Platforms is tasked with defining and managing the overarching technology architecture covering cloud environments, infrastructure, networking, security, identity, workplace technologies, AI platforms, and healthcare information systems. This role aims to ensure technology choices enhance patient safety, operational robustness, cybersecurity, regulatory adherence, and digital transformation, providing end-to-end architectural leadership from strategy development to implementation and operational management.
- Formulate and enforce strategies, standards, roadmaps, and reference architectures for Azure cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, identity solutions, workplace technologies, and healthcare platforms.
- Architect and manage hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, including the design of Azure landing zones, data centers, disaster recovery processes, backup, business continuity, and operational resilience strategies.
- Institutionalize architecture best practices and standards for Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, cybersecurity measures, Zero Trust principles, and secure access control.
- Direct architectural integration and planning for healthcare systems such as EMR/EHR, HIS, PACS, RIS, LIS, and related clinical applications.
- Lead governance activities including design reviews, technology option evaluations, vendor assessments, RFP processes, and investment planning.
- Develop AI platform strategy and governance, including Azure AI services deployment, GPU infrastructure management, MLOps/LLMOps frameworks, security controls, and adherence to responsible AI standards.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific regulations, privacy standards, ADHICS, ISO 27001, NIST, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
- Provide mentorship to architects and senior engineers, and convey architectural decisions, potential risks, costs, and suggestions effectively to both business and technical stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline is required; advanced degrees such as a master’s are preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years experience in infrastructure, cloud, networking, or cybersecurity domains; with at least 5 years’ leadership experience in enterprise or solution architecture positions.
- Proven expertise in Azure platform, hybrid cloud architectures, networking, identity management, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, enterprise architecture frameworks, and healthcare technology landscapes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformations across cloud, infrastructure, workplace, identity, and security programs.
- Understanding of healthcare systems, associated regulatory requirements, security and privacy by design principles, risk assessment, and governance standards.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert, CISSP/CCSP, or vendor-specific security certifications (Palo Alto, Fortinet) are highly desirable, along with ITIL and COBIT knowledge.
- Strong leadership qualities including stakeholder engagement, communication excellence, strategic commercial insight, and decisive decision-making abilities.
