Role Overview
The appointed Enterprise Architect will spearhead architecture design and governance within the Learning & Skills portfolio, guaranteeing that digital capabilities are scalable, integrated, and sustainable to foster long-term product development and interoperability across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate architectural vision, guiding principles, and the intended future state.
- Take ownership of application, data, and integration architecture frameworks.
- Develop and enforce common standards for integration and data management.
- Oversee architecture compliance processes and conduct design reviews.
- Supervise solution designs provided by vendors.
- Ensure architecture choices align with product roadmap goals.
- Manage risks associated with architecture and address technical debt.
- Guarantee that architecture enables scalability and supports future feature expansions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess academic credentials in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related area.
- Hold a minimum of eight years of pertinent experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems integration, or similar disciplines.
- Proven track record in the design and governance of enterprise-level digital systems.
- In-depth knowledge of principles governing application, data, and integration architectures.
- Experience in administering architecture governance and collaborating with external vendors.
- Background in education technology, enterprise platforms, data ecosystems, or related domains is advantageous.
