Role Description
The Enterprise Account Manager drives new business by managing relationships between UPS and assigned Enterprise Accounts. This role includes executing business plans, surpassing sales and revenue targets, and leading sales and service activities across UPS’s portfolio, including Freight, Package, Forwarding, and Distribution. The position focuses on global growth through solution development, customer communications, contract negotiation, value creation, and consulting customers on UPS solutions to maintain competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure contract compliance and manage renewal processes, guaranteeing both UPS and customers adhere to negotiated terms.
- Track and maintain customer account data and performance metrics across Freight, Package, Forwarding, and Distribution lines to measure sales success against objectives.
- Utilize business intelligence and analytical reporting tools to analyze account performance.
- Monitor competitor activity to gather market intelligence for engaging prospects and customers effectively.
- Develop and maintain high-level relationships with customers.
- Identify key decision-makers within customer organizations to broaden business opportunities across UPS’s enterprise offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create comprehensive account strategies focused on client retention, market penetration, and new account acquisitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marketing, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
- 7-10 years of experience in a field sales position.
- Strong background in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries with detailed knowledge of GMP, GSP, GDP environments; experience in 3PL/4PL logistics is a plus.
- Preferred candidates possess healthcare regulation knowledge or experience in healthcare services.
- Familiarity with ISO certifications, particularly ISO 13485:2003.
- Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales plans in prior roles.
- Willingness to undertake business-related travel.
