Engineering Surveyor

About the Role

Murphy Geospatial, part of Woolpert, is a global leader in geospatial services delivering exceptional client solutions through innovative technology and design. Located in Leixlip, County Kildare, we are seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join our Special Projects team to focus on survey control establishment and analysis within a high-profile semi-conductor project. This position offers exposure to advanced surveying technology within an evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field-based surveying tasks as part of a team or independently using specialized equipment such as total stations and Reality Capture Scanners.
• Establish survey controls, including gridlines, datums, levelling, traversing, and scanning utilizing Leica technology.
• Accurately record and document surveying data on-site adhering to project specifications.
• Support detailed field and office-based survey assignments and prepare setout files and final reports.
• Maintain and care for survey equipment ensuring readiness and compliance with company standards.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and best practices while performing duties.
• Complete additional tasks as required to support business objectives.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of three years’ experience in surveying.
• Safe Pass certification is mandatory.
• Self-reliant for commuting to the workplace.
• Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
• Degree in surveying or related field preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous but not required.
• Possession of a full EU or Irish driver’s license is desirable but not obligatory.
• Willingness and capability to travel and work across Europe upon achieving career milestones.
