About the Role

You will guide the engineering team to ensure efficient maintenance operations and keep all hotel facilities in excellent shape.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily engineering tasks to guarantee prompt handling of maintenance requests and preventive maintenance routines.
• Lead, mentor, and assist engineering staff to provide dependable and efficient support services.
• Track and assess the operational status of hotel infrastructure, machinery, and building systems.
• Manage repairs, diagnostics, and servicing activities ensuring minimum impact on hotel operations.
• Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines, fire protection codes, and hotel engineering policies.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance work, equipment checks, and service logs.
• Contribute to energy-saving efforts and implement cost-efficient maintenance strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related fields.
• Previous supervisory experience in engineering within a hotel or hospitality setting is essential.
• Proficient understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hotel maintenance procedures, preventative care, and safety protocols.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills adapted to managing a diverse workforce.
• Capability to perform effectively in a rapid-pace environment and meet urgent operational demands.
• Availability for shift work including weekends and public holidays.
• Holding relevant technical licenses or certifications is advantageous.
