About the Role
This role is based in Sydney where you will lead a team creating custom software to provide exceptional support experiences, with a focus on security and data custodianship. You will oversee the adoption and integration of AI-driven solutions to resolve customer issues, managing an MCP server that delivers consistent data and policy management. This position offers the chance to guide how AI tools are embedded within both software and business teams.
Team and Responsibilities
The Specialist Systems and Platforms team develops software enabling the support function to serve a growing user base effectively, ensuring operational security and efficiency. You will mentor engineers, foster a culture of innovation and psychological safety, define technical strategies and roadmaps, collaborate cross-functionally from prototype to full deployment, uphold engineering quality and AI governance standards, and coordinate priorities and resources with leadership.
Candidate Profile
We seek an experienced engineering manager with strong backend technical expertise and architectural skills, who has successfully led teams in scalable environments. A keen interest in AI and large language model technologies is important, along with the ability to balance platform and product priorities. Strong communication skills are essential to articulate technical value and build trust across stakeholders.
