Role Overview

• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to understand customer and business needs and craft strategies targeting desired outcomes.
• Lead and motivate a skilled group of engineers to self-organize, innovate, develop, deploy, and take ownership of complex end-to-end software solutions.
• Cultivate engineering talent through mentoring, coaching, and retention tactics within a rapidly growing and competitive market.
• Direct teams in developing software solutions addressing end-to-end business problems, ensuring delivery in small, valuable increments while considering availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency aligned with internal engineering standards.
• Guide the team’s discovery, planning, and execution phases to consistently deliver customer value.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong product insight to select impactful customer opportunities.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional, empowered, and self-managed engineering teams.
• Effective mentoring and coaching skills to elevate team talent.
• Excellent stakeholder and dependency management through proactive communication.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage key stakeholders with compelling narratives.
• Humble, curious, and open-minded approach, embracing a growth mindset and continuous feedback.
• Deep understanding of lean and agile principles and associated practices.
• 6+ years in software engineering, preferably with XP methodologies like TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, and Continuous Refactoring.
• Over 2 years in hands-on technical leadership and managing engineering people.
• Expertise in Distributed Systems Architecture including Microservices, Event-Driven Designs, and RESTful services.
• Experience in building and advancing Trunk-Based Development and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Comprehensive skills in designing, implementing, monitoring, and scaling web applications and APIs.
• Solid grasp of the mobile app development lifecycle.
• Strong awareness of mobile platform architectures, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in automated end-to-end testing ensuring software quality.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
• Robust understanding of quality, performance metrics, monitoring, alerting, and security standards.
