Role Overview

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional team responsible for Experience Content Platforms in Bangalore. This role focuses on evolving content creation systems into AI-first models that automate copy generation, localization, and continuous quality assurance. The manager will ensure governance, compliance, brand consistency, and accuracy across a multilingual, global product while collaborating with diverse stakeholders such as UX writers, designers, product teams, localization experts, legal, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture engineers by creating development plans, facilitating growth opportunities, and managing performance with clear objectives and feedback mechanisms.
• Own delivery of the engineering roadmap through proactive collaboration, progress tracking, and issue resolution or escalation.
• Maintain transparent communication with team stakeholders regarding progress and challenges.
• Support hiring and workforce planning activities, involving your team as part of recruitment.
• Mentor colleagues across various levels to enhance overall team capability and performance.
• Oversee system health by monitoring metrics, managing application performance, and guiding junior engineers in best practices.
• Mitigate operational risks via modern tooling, comprehensive documentation, and business continuity planning.
• Address production incidents promptly within service level agreements, perform root cause analyses, and document learnings from postmortems.
• Ensure software quality by adhering to development standards, design patterns, and rigorous testing for security and integrity.
• Influence architectural decisions to align with functional/non-functional requirements and broader technical strategies.
• Champion continuous process and system enhancements through critical thinking and implementation of improvements.

Essential Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience building enterprise software applications, with prior development experience preferred.
• At least 3 years in a dedicated Engineering Manager role.
• Proficient in reading and refactoring code using design patterns and implementing effective testing strategies.
• Commitment to data security, integrity, and quality in compliance with company policies and relevant laws.
• Capability to assess architectural options considering business impact, costs, and emerging technologies.
• Understanding of system infrastructure and architecture to evaluate changes or additions effectively.
• Skilled in accelerating development and driving business growth via engineering methods such as prototyping, vendor evaluation, and standards enforcement.

Additional Information

The role is based in Bangalore (onsite) and requires a minimum of 12 years' overall experience, ideally within large-scale software product environments.
