About the Role
This role offers a compelling chance to lead skilled engineering teams, develop scalable cloud-based data platforms, and spearhead innovation within major streaming and digital enterprises such as Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion innovation in platform development, automate processes, and enhance data engineering effectiveness.
- Oversee architectural planning, create technical documentation, and lead system design efforts.
- Guide and nurture engineering teams while promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and development teams to create scalable and reliable solutions.
- Enhance platform performance, reliability, and operational workflows.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript programming languages.
- Experience utilizing data technologies such as Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, or OpenSearch.
- Knowledgeable in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering principles.
- Strong leadership capabilities paired with excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata handling, and optimizing platforms is advantageous.
