OJI Fibre Solutions is a leading packaging manufacturer and supplier in New Zealand, serving diverse industries with innovative, high-quality cardboard packaging. Their Corrugated Case business in Levin caters primarily to sectors such as dairy, horticulture, meat, industrial, and food.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Facility Manager and as a core member of the Central Business Unit Leadership Team, the Engineering Manager will lead a skilled Engineering team including Electrical and Reliability Engineers, a Planner/Stores staff member, and shift-based Mechanical and Electrical Trades personnel. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability, maintenance practices, and overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Lead and develop engineering teams with strong emphasis on communication, leadership, and influence.
- Demonstrate proven experience in engineering leadership within manufacturing or related sectors.
- Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety practices.
- Apply expertise in Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Utilize experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
- Manage projects including capital improvement initiatives.
- Possess Mechanical or Electrical trade credentials and/or tertiary qualifications.
- Bring experience within manufacturing, packaging, FMCG, or similar industries.

Location and Lifestyle
