Job description
About the Role
This position is with a confidential leading automotive and mobility engineering organization based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on the development of automotive cab, body, and product systems spanning from initial concept through to detailed design, validation, and release phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design concepts, develop layouts, create 3D models, produce drawings, and manage design release documentation.
- Conduct detailed Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), as well as tolerance and packaging assessments.
- Collaborate closely with teams in CAE, testing, manufacturing, and suppliers to integrate inputs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve validation, quality assurance, and field-related problems using structured engineering approaches.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in testbed operations and instrumentation.
Preferred Skills
- Background in commercial vehicle product development.
- Cross-functional validation expertise.
- Experience in design release processes and preparing technical documentation.
Candidate Profile
Engineering professionals with 2 to 9 years of experience relevant to testbed maintenance. Prior exposure to automotive industries—especially commercial vehicles or related mobility product engineering domains—is favorable. Demonstrable skills in testbed and instrumentation are essential.
