About the Role
A prestigious boutique law firm in London is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor with over six years post-qualification experience (PQE). The role involves providing comprehensive legal counsel on complex employment issues for senior executives and corporate clientele, encompassing both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert advice on a wide range of employment law issues, representing senior executives and corporate organizations.
- Manage and take charge of complex cases such as employment tribunal litigation, strategic human resources counseling, executive contract negotiations, organizational restructures, redundancies, and employment elements within corporate transactions.
- Support mergers and acquisitions processes, including conducting due diligence related to employment matters.
- Advise on corporate employment policies and provide strategic employment law guidance.
- Oversee, mentor, and assign responsibilities to junior lawyers within the team.
- Engage in business development activities and networking to support growth of the Employment Department.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience specializing in employment law.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues, ideally advising both employers and senior employees.
- Strong academic background and high-quality legal training.
- Exemplary technical knowledge, drafting capabilities, and communication skills.
- Experience managing complex employment cases independently.
- A client portfolio is beneficial, as is a proactive approach to business networking and development.
- Ambitious, commercially aware, and skilled at building and maintaining client relationships.
- Competent in guiding and supporting junior legal staff.

- Competitive salary in the range of GBP 95,000 to 120,000, dependent on experience.
