Role Overview

As an Employment Consultant, based in the Miranda, NSW office, you will collaborate with Rehabilitation or Vocational Consultants to assist individuals recovering from injury or illness in securing new job opportunities.

  • Conduct cold outreach calls to identify host employers willing to provide placements for injured workers under SIRA programs, whether voluntary or paid roles.
  • Promote SIRA programs and associated incentives to employers.
  • Prepare applications for SIRA program participation and re-training for approval by relevant agents.
  • Network actively, building and maintaining a database of employers open to hosting candidates.
  • Visit multiple client regions to establish and nurture relationships with host employers and expand the host database.
  • Provide job skills training and develop supportive resources for injured workers seeking new employment.
  • Meet placement targets such as placing clients in work trials within six weeks of referral.
  • Work alongside the Head of New Employer Services to create tools and expand services nationally.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellence in telephone communication along with strong sales and marketing abilities.
  • At least six months of experience in call-based sales roles meeting defined KPIs.
  • Resilience and determination to overcome challenges and secure positive outcomes.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for travel purposes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a personable and engaging demeanor for prompt rapport building.
  • Familiarity with the NSW Workers' Compensation scheme is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Australia is required.
