About the Opportunity

Join EY as an Employee Relations Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term basis and contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. You will collaborate with leaders across the Oceania region, providing expert advice on employee relations issues, managing workplace cases, and developing your knowledge of employment law and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical employee relations guidance to leaders across EY, addressing matters such as performance management, probation, and fitness for work.
  • Assist Employee Relations Managers with complex cases including investigations, restructures, disciplinary actions, and workplace risk assessments.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives aimed at improving employee relations processes and the overall employee experience within Oceania.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in providing employee relations advice within HR generalist, advisory, or specialized environments.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and the aptitude to apply effective, commercially minded solutions to workplace issues.
  • Ability to establish trusted relationships, effectively influence stakeholders, and prioritize competing demands in a dynamic setting.

Preferred Qualifications and Personal Qualities

  • Between two to three years of experience managing employee relations cases related to performance, conduct, probation, or wellbeing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, balancing employee interests with business outcomes and risk management.
  • Proactive and continuous improvement-oriented mindset with a passion for collaboration and ongoing learning.
  • Capacity to work independently while contributing positively to team dynamics.

Additional Information
