Team Overview
The Global Legal team at TikTok provides essential legal support for the company's innovative products and platforms in the global video market. This team enables business and technology units through comprehensive legal advice. The Global Employment Law group specifically offers strategic legal guidance to Human Resources and business partners worldwide and manages litigation involving TikTok across its operating regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis and provide appropriate responses to data subject requests concerning employee and candidate privacy, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborate proactively with various departments to resolve complex privacy issues related to employees and candidates.
- Manage intricate operational procedures to consistently deliver high-quality service.
- Spot opportunities to enhance policies and processes at scale.
- Lead cross-functional projects by balancing different stakeholder needs and adhering to strict deadlines.
- Create and deliver training materials and guidance about employee data rights, response protocols, and evolving legal requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Extensive experience in privacy or compliance roles, such as privacy support, consulting, or similar operational contexts.
- Strong understanding of UK and EU data protection laws and employee privacy standards.
- Highly organized and self-driven with excellent skills in project management.
- Competent in analyzing data critically and preparing reports for senior leadership.
- Maintains high integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent capabilities in stakeholder management and clear written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of HR systems and employee record management.
- Experience working in-house with HR legal or employment advisory teams within multinational companies.
- Privacy certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent are advantageous.
