Emergency Response Member

Overview

We are seeking an Emergency Response Member to join our team in Mesaieed, Al Wakrah, Qatar under an indefinite contract. The individual will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents including fire alarms, rescue operations, and ambulance calls. Duties include firefighting, rescue, chemical spill control, and maintaining safety and firefighting equipment to ensure optimal emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire alarms, emergency calls, and ambulance services.
• Conduct firefighting and rescue operations as directed by fire or safety officers and incident controllers.
• Inspect, check, and perform preventive maintenance on all safety and firefighting equipment.
• Maintain effective communication with the emergency center during incidents.
• Review and share lessons learned from incidents, audits, inspections, and emergency drills; ensuring timely reporting of any irregularities or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of stores, workshops, breakdown areas, and escape routes to facilitate fast access to emergency tools and equipment.
• Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance emergency readiness, response efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain physical and mental fitness and participate in regular training such as firefighting, first aid, rescue drills, and mock exercises.

Requirements

• Educational minimum: High school diploma in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of direct experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; capable of working solo or within a team environment.
• Mandatory certifications: NFPA Firefighter I & II (or equivalent) and valid First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Additional qualifications such as HazMat Awareness and Operations, Basic Rescue Training, and other emergency response certifications are advantageous.
• Possession of valid Light and Heavy Vehicle Driving Licenses is required, with Qatar licenses preferred.
