Job description
About the Company and Location
MAC (Mission, Avionic, Control) Aviyonik is an aviation technology firm headquartered in Ankara Bilkent Cyberpark, Turkey. This project requires embedded software engineers who will be based both at our Abu Dhabi facility and Ankara office. The Abu Dhabi team will have a larger staff compared to Ankara.
Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are looking for embedded software engineers with a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably with knowledge or hands-on experience related to DO178C standards. The role requires developing software compliant with DO178C for mission-critical aviation systems. Candidates will be responsible for High-Level Requirements (HLR) and Low-Level Requirements (LLR) development, authoring DO178C-compliant code, preparing necessary documentation, maintaining traceability between requirements and code, and providing data for project tracking such as software statistics. Until our independent verification team is fully established, candidates are also expected to develop their own verification software packages.
Participation in SOI (Software Integration) activities mandated by DO178C, tracking assigned findings, and the ability to perform code probings and analyses for SCA (Software Component Assurance) purposes when necessary is expected. Since parts of the project involve model-based software development, experience with tools like SCADE is valued.
Candidate Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields. Candidates from computer engineering or unrelated disciplines but with active experience in DO178C-compliant software development are also considered. New graduates cannot be considered this time due to the high demand on experience and expertise. We do not set an upper limit for experience and may appoint senior candidates as team leaders. Please indicate experience with RTOS platforms you have utilized; PikeOS usage may be required for this project.
Additional Information and Work Conditions
The project timeline is aggressive, requiring occasional overtime while maintaining humane working standards. Engineers based in Abu Dhabi will receive higher and differentiated compensation compared to the Ankara office, reflecting the higher cost of living in Abu Dhabi and to ensure employee satisfaction.
Please mention software development tools and packages you have worked with, such as JIRA, SCADE, operating systems, and development environments in your application.
