Elementary Classroom Teacher

About the Role

Cognita Schools seeks an enthusiastic Elementary Classroom Teacher for the Australian International School in Singapore. This role offers an opportunity to positively influence young learners and contribute to their growth and development within a nurturing educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in school functions, meetings, events, and professional development sessions, which may take place during and outside regular school hours.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Heads of Year, Assistant Heads of Sub-school, Head or Assistant Head of Elementary, or the Head of School.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a minimum four-year recognized teaching qualification such as a Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Diploma or a Bachelor of Education.
• Experience working within systems and organizational structures of large school environments is considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) is preferred.
• Knowledge of restorative educational practices is desirable.
• Experience adopting a holistic approach to education is beneficial.
• The role is scheduled to commence in January 2027.
